John Strandberg passed away in North Carolina on February 6, 2024. After graduation from ELHS, he graduated from Syracuse University and began a long career as an architect. For 30 years he designed schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut for two different firms. He then founded his own company, where for 15 years he did a variety of architectural design work. John also sharied his daughter Katy's love of horses, eventually moving to North Carolina to be with her and her husband.

John leaves his wife of 30 years, Terri, and his daughter and son-in-law.
